My father and business partner Gene Oxley and I have been in the jetted tub industry for approximately 25 years and in the year 2009, while my father was at jury duty, my mother who was at home alone decided to go into the bathroom to bathe. Unfortunately, she became one of the horrifying statistics that we all hear about. She had fallen in the bathtub and sustained some very serious injuries with no way of getting back out. She laid there naked, cold and in pain for over four hours until my father returned home later on that evening. She never made a full recovery and shortly after this accident, she passed away. It was at this time that my father and I began to do some very extensive research on the walk-in tub industry and I would like to share with you what we found. One of the first things that we immediately discovered was that the average walk-in tub could range anywhere from $15,000 to upwards of $30,000 and I am sure that you already know that most of our senior citizens who live on fixed incomes cannot even begin to afford such and expense.
