We’re celebrating Week of the Young Child, and today is Family Friday!
It truly takes a village to support and inspire our children 💛
Today we are especially grateful for one of our amazing parents who helped bring learning to life by building this incredible car out of recycled materials for the children to enjoy 🚗♻️
Acts like this show our children what community looks like—people coming together to share time, creativity, and care. From families to teachers to staff, every part of our village plays an important role in helping children learn and grow.
We are so thankful for the support that surrounds our program each and every day ✨

Artsy Thursday 🎨Today is all about creativity in action!

Our classrooms are filled with color, imagination, and expression as children explore art in many different ways—painting, drawing, building, and creating with their hands.

Art gives children the opportunity to make choices, experiment with materials, and express their ideas in their own unique way. No two masterpieces are ever the same—and that’s what makes it so special ✨

Day three of the Week of the Young Child is Work Together Wednesday!🤝

Play is one of the most powerful ways children learn to work together.

Today we’re celebrating friendships, teamwork, and collaboration happening in our classrooms every day. Whether they are building together, problem-solving, sharing ideas, or creating games, our children are learning how to connect, communicate, and support one another.

These moments of play help build important social skills like cooperation, patience, and empathy while having fun!

Because when children play together, they’re also learning how to grow together 🌱

Happy National Gardening Day 🌱💚 Our Child Development kiddos spent the day digging, planting, and exploring the magic of the garden. From planting cucumbers, strawberries and tomatoes to discovering tiny bugs, every moment was a chance to learn, grow, and connect with nature.

NMCS board members and leadership came together last night for our April 1 Board Meeting. We shared program, financial, and fundraising highlights—and took time to enjoy the creative progress of our Welcoming Spaces Project through our 680 Wilson Ave Center.

We also celebrated April birthdays 🎉 Happy birthday to (left to right): Dr. Gina Fromer, Vanshika Nachnani, Karen Dillon Gifford, and Tony Clark!

A warm welcome to new NMCS board member Jeremy Yu, and welcome back to returning member Karen Gifford. We’re grateful for the leadership and partnership of this incredible group.
