Back pain is one of the most common medical complaints in the U.S. and a lack of fitness can increase your risk!

The great news? You can strengthen your core and protect your back with just 4 simple exercises. Hold each one for several breaths and repeat 3-4 times:

Superman: Lie on your belly, arms at your sides. Firm your abs and slowly lift your legs, arms, and chest off the floor.

Bird Dog: Start on hands and knees. Lift and extend one arm forward and the opposite leg behind. Keep those abs tight! Switch sides.

Bridge: Lie on your back, knees bent, feet flat. Lift your hips into a bridge position and hold.

Toe Taps: Lie on your back with knees over hips, shins parallel to the floor. Alternate tapping each foot to the floor for 10-15 reps.
