Feeling tense? Your muscles might be holding more stress than you realize!

Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is a proven technique that can lower cortisol (your stress hormone), reduce blood pressure, and calm both your mind AND body. And the best part? Almost anyone can learn it!

Here's how to do it:
1️⃣ Find a quiet place and lie down comfortably
2️⃣ Start at your toes breathe IN and clench them firmly for 5-10 seconds
3️⃣ Breathe OUT and completely relax them
4️⃣ Rest for 10-20 seconds, breathing slowly
5️⃣ Move up to your calves, then thighs, abdomen, shoulders, neck, and face

Try doing this before bed it can help you fall asleep faster too!

For our first responders and shift workers: This is an incredible tool for managing the physical and emotional toll of high-stress work. Just a few minutes can make a world of difference!

Here's a stat that might surprise you: Colorectal cancer rates in people under 50 are RISING increasing nearly 3% per year. ⚠️

This isn't just a concern for older adults anymore. Colorectal cancer is now the deadliest cancer among young men and the second deadliest among young women under 50.

What you need to know:
📌 Screening is now recommended starting at age 45
📌 Know your family history it can affect your risk
📌 Pay attention to symptoms like changes in bowel habits, blood in stool, or unexplained weight loss
📌 Don't dismiss symptoms because you think you're "too young"

The good news? When caught early, the survival rate is over 90%! Early detection is everything.

Talk to your doctor about when you should start screening. It could be the most important conversation you have this year.

Is snoring affecting your health or your relationship? Let's talk about it!

Occasional snoring can be harmless, but if you or your partner snores every night, it could be a sign of something more serious: Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).

Watch for these signs:
🔴 Loud snoring nearly every night
🔴 Pauses in breathing during sleep
🔴 Choking or gasping for air at night
🔴 Feeling exhausted even after a full night's sleep
🔴 Morning headaches or trouble concentrating

Why it matters: OSA can increase your risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. It also affects your energy, focus, and mood every single day.

Steps you can take right now:
✅ Talk to your doctor if you snore regularly
✅ If you smoke, quitting can help reduce snoring
✅ Avoid alcohol close to bedtime
✅ Work toward a healthy weight

Your sleep quality matters don't ignore the signs!

Want to transform your sleep? It starts with your bedtime routine!

Our brains LOVE habits and routines and building a calming bedtime ritual trains your brain that it's time to wind down. Here's how to create yours:

⏰ Go to bed 15 minutes earlier than usual
📱 Stop using screens 1 hour before bed (yes, really!)
🔅 Dim the lights in the evening to sync with your body's natural rhythm
🎵 Listen to calming music, nature sounds, or white noise
📝 Write in a gratitude journal end your day on a positive note!
🛁 Take a warm bath or do a gentle relaxation exercise

Pro tip: Don't wait until you're exhausted to go to bed. Head to bed when you first feel drowsy waiting too long makes it harder to wind down!

Sweet dreams start with good habits!

Putting off your colonoscopy? We get it but here are 4 reasons why you should schedule it TODAY!

1️⃣ Early colon cancer has NO symptoms. Many people have polyps for years without knowing. A colonoscopy catches them early when treatment is most effective!

2️⃣ One day of prep could save your life. Yes, the prep isn't fun but it's one day for peace of mind and potentially life-saving detection.

3️⃣ The prep is easier than you think! Ask your doctor about adding flavorings to your prep drink. Sports drinks, tea, coffee, and popsicles may be allowed too!

4️⃣ You can't put a price on peace of mind. With an estimated 158,000+ new colorectal cancer cases expected in 2026, knowing you've been screened is priceless. 🙏

If you're 45+, make the call. Your health is worth it! 💙

Ready to boost your well-being? Try unplugging! 📵✨
Achieving digital well-being isn't about abandoning technology, it's about being mindful and intentional with your usage.
Practical strategies to unplug and thrive:
🏠 Establish tech-free zones (bedroom, dining table)
⏰ Set daily time limits for apps and screen time
📅 Schedule "digital detox" time each day
🔔 Turn off non-essential notifications
📚 Engage in offline activities—read, walk, connect face-to-face
😴 Avoid screens for at least an hour before bed
The blue light from screens can interfere with your sleep, and constant notifications increase stress and anxiety.
Take control of your digital life and watch your mental and physical health flourish! 🌱
What's one way you'll unplug this week?
