Ultraviolet radiation is responsible for a large portion of premature skin aging. Additional influences include smoking, repeated facial movements, genetics, and stress.

Wrinkle relaxers work by temporarily blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles. By preventing these muscles from contracting, the treatment smoothes wrinkles.
