Years ago, I had the privilege of being in a scene with Eric — watching him bring Mark Sloan to life up close. Larger than life charisma, effortless confidence, and yet incredibly warm between takes. The “Plastics Posse” energy was real.

Today, we lost a truly remarkable man. 💔
I feel incredibly fortunate to have shared a moment in time with Eric Dane on the set of Grey's Anatomy back in 2011–2012, when I had the pleasure of being in the same scene with him.
Many know him as Mark Sloan — “McSteamy” — the double board-certified plastic surgeon of Seattle Grace. What made the experience even more memorable was that between takes, he jokingly asked me if I was a double board-certified plastic surgeon like him… to which I reminded him he was only acting 😄. That was Eric — quick, funny, and completely present.
Off camera, he had that same larger-than-life charisma that made his character unforgettable. The warmth, the humor, the passion — it wasn’t just acting. It was who he was. The presence he brought to a room stayed with you long after the scene ended.
He was such a valuable member of the team at ABC, and I still keep a personally autographed copy of this photo in my office — a lasting reminder of that experience and the energy he brought to the set.
Rest easy, Eric. You will be deeply missed. ❤️
