Congratulations are in order. Paula Gutierrez, director of Diversity and Inclusion and the Babs Siperstein PROUD Center at has been recognized by DiversityPlus Magazine as one of the 2021 Top 15 Women in Power Impacting Diversity.
Paula is a Seton Hall University Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) alumna and adjunct professor. Way to go Paula!

Congratulations to Paula Gutierrez, director of Diversity and Inclusion and the Babs Siperstein PROUD Center, , who has been named by DiversityPlus Magazine as one of the 2021 Top 15 Women in Power Impacting Diversity. Paula will be honored alongside national and global leaders who have achieved success in Supplier Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in a special issue of the international magazine. Paula has led the growth and expansion of our PROUD Center, overseen the development of our hospital’s six Business Resource Groups and helped lead our outreach efforts to the Latino community during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also sits on the Governor’s LGBTQ Taskforce and has worked with Somerset County and the Somerset County Business Partnership on their diversity and inclusion initiatives.

“This recognition of Paula is a testament to the far-reaching impacts of her work with the RWJUH Somerset community and beyond. She is committed to making sure all patients are recognized, respected and cared for at our facility,” said Anthony Cava, President and Chief Executive Officer of RWJ Somerset.

The 25th Annual Petersheim Academic Exposition is approaching! Next week, we invite you to join Professor Bryan Pilkington for two sessions on bioethical issues in the community.

In the first session titled, “Bioethical Issues in Community Contexts: Perspectives from Philosophy, Theology, and Law” Pilkington and experts from religion, philosophy and law discuss issues of health and ethics within communities and community-based approaches.
