As Director of Respiratory Care, the Pulmonary Lab, EEG, and Sleep Center, Cathey is a highly respected professional who oversees respiratory critical care and diagnostic services at the hospital. She is the first to arrive in inclement weather, a valued member of our emergency activations team, and a supportive friend to all her colleagues. We celebrate Cathey on this impressive milestone anniversary.

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is excited to announce the appointment of Adriana Suarez-Ligon, MD, FACS, as the Medical Director of The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.

Dr. Suarez-Ligon is a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgeon/oncologist who cares for patients with breast cancer, benign breast conditions, and those at increased risk for developing breast cancer. She provides thorough, individualized care and believes every patient deserves clear information, compassionate guidance, and a dedicated team supporting them at each step. Dr. Suarez-Ligon is a native Spanish speaker and is committed to improving communication and access to care for all in our community. Patient safety is everyone's job at Montefiore Nyack, and we are proud to recognize Ket Yves “Dan” Forestal for exemplifying that role. While transporting a patient within the hospital, Dan heard another patient choking and rushed to provide aid. His heroic act saved a life and shows the extraordinary commitment of our staff. We thank Dan for his outstanding efforts in caring for our patients and his dedication to safety!
