Montefiore Nyack was proud to host US Congressman Michael Lawler today as he discussed his proposed legislation to expand IVF access for New York families. This legislation creates a tax credit to help offset the high costs of assisted reproductive technology. On November 5th, we hosted our annual Celebration of Life event. This event reunites former ICU patients and their families with our staff from Critical Care, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cath Lab, and our Emergency Department, who aided their care and recovery.

The Montefiore Nyack Foundation proudly hosted its 4th Annual Rides & Strides at Rockland Lake State Park. With community support and over 900 registrants, the event raised an incredible $180,000 for the Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.

The day was a joyous celebration for all, filled with fun activities such as face painting, balloon creations, and entertainment by Lali the Clown and Minnie Mouse. Younger participants had a blast at the Kids Fun Run, while adult walkers, runners, and cyclists enjoyed the lively music that energized them to tackle the course.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the event sponsors, teams, committee members, volunteers, and donors for their unwavering support and dedication, which made this event a tremendous success. .

It's a spooktacular day at Montefiore Nyack! A special shout-out to our Cardiopulmonary Rehab team for bringing the magic of Hogwarts to life for their patients to enjoy, and to our Radiation Oncology Team for costumes incorporating breast cancer awareness with a ghostly twist. To round out the day, every department received sweet treats.
