Another fun filled Friday afternoon at Tappan Zee Manor. First an art workshop with local artist Maureen Bennett. And then students from Clarkstown South High School brought us laughter with their game of charades and taught others how to make origami. After an Ice Cream Social we presented them, Connect More Movement, with a plaque to show our appreciation. We have come to know and love these students as they bring JoY and compassion to all.

Thank you Rockland County Office for the Aging for a lovely visit today to celebrate Marian O’Connors 101st birthday. She appreciated the presents of balloons, flowers and a music box but it was more their presence that she enjoyed.

On the agenda this month was trivia from the 1960’s and 1970’s, Pictionary and painting flowers. It is always a special time when shared with these fun loving and thoughtful students.

Love us in the air and all around today. Sweet Lana, a great granddaughter of a resident who lived at TZM ten years ago, made every resident a Valentine card. Each one so unique and precious. She even put magnets on the back so these cards created on canvas can be placed just about anywhere in their room.
And in the afternoon The Fun Time Singers gave their 4th concert naming it Lovers Concerto ❤️ to a standing room only crowd.
“Our hearts are full and it’s a wonderful feeling.”
