It is almost time for the 4th Annual Integrative Wellness Summit on Saturday, March 1st at Water's Edge Banquet Center in St. Peters, MO. This is a wonderful time to connect with like-minded practitioners, explore new modalities and enhance patient outcomes. This event isn’t being sponsored by a big hospital group, school or company-it is just three local nurses wanting to get nurses and other licensed healthcare professionals together to encourage and empower in hopes of changing what healthcare looks like in the future.

T-Minus 2 weeks until our 3rd annual Integrative Wellness Summit. This event started with three nurses wanting to bring education regarding Integrative Medicine to the St. Louis area. We envisioned a space of connection with like-minded licensed healthcare professionals. We wanted an opportunity to educate and empower so that we could offer more local resources for our patients and community. This event has grown so much that we had to increase the size of our venue! We have 9 amazing speakers discussing cutting edge treatments and modalities for an array of topics that are impacting our community today. I will teach what techniques and products that can be used that you will want to have in your home. A lot of these techniques and products are things that I share with my patients but since everyone is not local, I wanted to do a Zoom to teach others. In 2021, three nurses came together on top of a mountain summit in Utah to create an event that would bring healthcare professionals together in St. Louis. The vision behind the event was to educate our peers on what integrative medicine looks like for ourselves, our patients and our community. We had a heart to connect with like-minded professionals to empower our community towards healthier lifestyles. We wanted to change what healthcare looks like today to incorporate a more integrative outlook with a relationship-based approach. We wanted to introduce many local businesses that offered a wide variety of integrative modalities. We held our first event in June 2022 and it was a success. We are expecting an even bigger turnout this year. Our event will be held on February 25th from 8am-3pm at the Water’s Edge Banquet Center in St. Peters, MO. We have 6 dynamic speakers presenting on a variety of health topics that are so applicable in our world today. So if you or someone you know is a licensed healthcare professional or a student of a healthcare profession, check out the event page and grab your ticket. Lunch from Hygge Juice Bar will be provided and a portion of each ticket will go to a non-profit organization that we have chosen that matches the vision of our event. There will be time before, after and during lunch for open networking as well.

Gut Health is one of the biggest reasons my patients come to see me. Difficulty with weight loss, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, skin issues, anxiousness, depression, hormone issues, indigestion, poor immune health, etc. Did you know that so many of these issues start in the gut? Poor diet, bacteria overgrowth, low or high stomach acid, poor hydration, parasites, food intolerances, etc. are some of the major contributors to poor gut health. Teresa Goodlett is a Registered Nurse that specializes in Gut Health and I refer many of my patients to her to help address and support their gut health. She is teaching a class in Lake St. Louis this week and I wanted to make sure and promote this class because she is a wealth of knowledge. It is an integrative wellness summit for licensed healthcare providers-that means nurses, doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, counselors, respiratory therapists, etc. We have an awesome line up of physicians, nurses and specialists in their field speaking on a variety of topics such as gut health, trauma recovery and mental health, hormones from a functional medicine outlook, naturopathic medicine and much more!!
