Ethyl’s advice so you can party like you have a new hip (without feeling guilty or like 💩 later):

👵🏼 Don’t hoard your calories. Not eating all day because you’re going to be around fun food and drink later isn’t the strategy you think it is. It leads to feeling out of control. Eating throughout your day (prioritizing protein and fiber) will help you be able to be more intentional.
👵🏼 Start with water. Drink water between alcoholic drinks if you’re partaking. Bring fun NA and lower calorie drinks to have as options too. Also, Jello shots sound fun but probably won’t end well 😬.
👵🏼 Make a plate and make a sure that if you’re eating, you’re sitting. Slow down and enjoy that food. Stop when you start to feel full.
👵🏼Think about how you want to feel after your event. Think about what memories you want to have and what’s really important. Let that guide your behaviors.
👵🏼Do what’s best for YOU. Don’t let others sway you if that leads you to not supporting yourself in what you know is aligned.
👵🏼 If s**t happens or doesn’t go as planned. Avoid pressing the F it button- think about what you can do and how you can deviate better.
👵🏼 It’s one day. That doesn’t mean go balls to the wall and start over tomorrow. Work this special day into your life and have it be part of your journey.

Have fun. Dance. Take pictures. Make memories. Reflect later. Move on as someone who had fun and has more skills and experience.
