Journaling isn't just a hobby; it’s a great therapeutic tool. As therapists, we often recommend "brain dumping" as a way to process emotions. 🧠✍️

Thoughts that stay locked in your mind, can grow very distorted. Writing them down forces you to engage different parts of your brain, which helps:
1️⃣ Define what's actually bothering you.
2️⃣ Identify triggers.
3️⃣ Move from worrying to problem-solving.

Emotional maturity is a practice, not a destination. It’s the ability to feel a big, difficult emotion without letting it drive the car. It means:

Pausing before reacting.
Taking responsibility for your triggers instead of blaming others.
Being able to say, "I’m hurt," instead of lashing out.

It’s hard work, and it’s okay if you’re still learning. Every time you choose a breath over a reaction, you’re growing. 📈
