Another old friend! RIP Joe! 😢
The Florissant Valley Fire Protection District is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of retired Engineer Joe Stewart. Joe dedicated 38 years of his life to the Florissant Valley Fire District and the community we serve. He retired from Florissant Valley Fire Protection District on February 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy built on brotherhood, integrity, and selfless service.
Joe was more than a firefighter. He was family. He was deeply respected and genuinely loved by those who had the honor of serving beside him. His presence, experience, and willingness to always help others made him someone his fellow firefighters depended on, both on and off the job.
This loss hits incredibly close to home for our members. Joe's passing leaves a profound emptiness within our organization and for those who had the pleasure of knowing him. We extend our deepest condolences to Joe’s family, friends, brothers and sisters in the fire service, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Our hearts go out to them as we navigate this unimaginable loss.
As we mourn, we also honor a life of service that will never be forgotten. Joe Stewart’s dedication, friendship, and legacy will live on within the Florissant Valley Fire Protection District forever. Rest easy, Engineer Stewart.
