City employee Chili Cookoff today! What a cool event for our employees. 12 total entries this year (a record)! EMS brought the heat with Code 3 chili, a white chicken entry. Big thanks to our secret weapon Medic Nungesser.

Last night, our department came together for a brief recognition ceremony-and we had a lot to celebrate!

Paramedic Pat Lenz was officially promoted to Supervisor! Pat’s leadership, compassion, and commitment to our mission have made a lasting impact on our crews and the community we serve. We’re incredibly grateful for everything he brings to this department, and we can’t wait to see him continue to thrive in this new role.

We also welcomed our new hires to the team as they begin their EMS journey with O’Fallon. We’re excited to watch them grow and contribute to the strong culture we take pride in.

Our crews had a blast last Friday night hanging out with our PTOEC friends! 🎉 Always great to see the smiles, laughs, and energy when everyone comes together.

🚨 We’re under an excessive heat warning this week, and your local EMS crews want to remind everyone to:
• 💧 Stay hydrated
• 🌳 Find some shade or A/C
• ⏰ Avoid peak heat hours
• 🧓 Check on the elderly, kids, and pets
• 🙅‍♂️ Do NOT try to become a viral “heatstroke hero” by mowing the lawn at 3 p.m.

We’d love to see you out in the community—but not in the back of our ambulance because you tried to tough out the heat. 🫠
