O’Fallon EMS attended the OTHS Skilled Trades event this week. Paramedics Grotowski and Young spoke with high school students about opportunities in the pre hospital field. Students got a chance to interact with one of our cardiac monitors and other professional equipment used in EMS.

Well well well… looks like our favorite feathered frequent flyer is back again for year THREE.
We couldn’t help but notice… she set up camp on the EMS side of the building. Coincidence? We think not.

This past Friday night, we had the honor of celebrating the dedication, hard work, and outstanding service of our members at our End of Year Awards Ceremony. We are incredibly proud of each of these individuals and grateful for everything they do for our department and our community.

As we reflect on the past year, we are incredibly grateful for the continued support and trust from our community. It’s been a year filled with teamwork, dedication, and service, and we are proud to serve such an amazing area. We look forward to another year of caring for our community and wish everyone a safe, healthy, and happy New Year!

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter as Paramedic Mickey Wrigley works her final shift and begins a well-earned retirement. With 30 years of service in EMS, including 8 years with O’Fallon EMS, her dedication, compassion, and professionalism have left a lasting legacy.

This evening we gathered for a final crew supper alongside her family, coworkers, and friends to celebrate an amazing career and to say thank you for everything she has given to this profession. Congratulations on your retirement, you will truly be missed, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter. 🚑💙

This week, the O’Fallon-Shiloh EMS Explorers Post participated in a special needs holiday gift program, benefitting residents associated with Cerebral Palsy of Southwestern Illinois. The Post members used funds they raised to sponsor an adult needing gifts in a healthcare home in the community. Thank you to our Explorers Post for exemplifying that the compassionate care of EMS extends beyond responding to emergency medical calls!

O’Fallon EMS hosted our EMS System quarterly run review with HSHS St. Elizabeth’s. More than 80 local paramedics and EMTs gathered at O’Fallon Public Safety to listen to our EMS Medical Director present case studies and review resource management.
