Thank you veterans! Here's a list of Veterans Day events happening near you➡
🇺🇸Florrisant, MO - Nov. 10th @ 1 p.m. - parade and festival
The parade will begin at Bangert Park, preceding North on Florissant Road, and then turn left on St. Francois, ending at the VFW Post 4105 where there be a festival atmosphere with food, music, and awards. The St Louis Veterans Coalition will be honoring several St Louis area veterans with awards, and the community will be honoring our 2024 Florissant Veteran of the Year, Ron Smith.
🇺🇸Edwardsville, IL - Nov. 11 @ 3 p.m. - parade
American Legion Post #199 will host the annual Veterans Day Parade. The event will feature veterans and an array of military vehicles, along with area bands and other organizations. The parade will begin in the 900 block of North Main Street, traveling south on Main Street before wrapping up on West Street.
🇺🇸Greenville, IL - Nov. 11 @ 10:30 a.m. - ceremony and speech
AMVETS Post 140, the Bond County Veterans Memorial Committee, and other veterans organizations will conduct the 27th annual Veteran’s Day ceremony Monday, November 11. Activities begin at 10:30 AM at the Veterans Memorial on the square in Greenville. Flags will be changed and memorial bricks for World War II vets will be recognized. The ceremony will follow at 11 AM at the Greenville First United Methodist Church. Keynote address by Lt Col. Christopher Blake, 18th Air Force.
🇺🇸O'Fallon, IL - Nov. 11 @ 11 a.m. - parade
This observance event will begin at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church 1111 E Hwy 50. The event will feature guest speaker, Major General Charles D Bolton, USAF, Commander, 18th Air Force, AMC from Scott Air Force Base, as well as participation from Miss O'Fallon, Katie Zimmerman, the OTHS AFJROTC, and VFW Post 805, among others. The names of the newly inscribed veterans will be introduced at this time. Pre-service music will begin at 10:45 a.m. Veterans are encouraged to wear their medals and decorations. The Veterans Day parade will be hosted by VFW Post 805 beginning at 2 p.m. from O'Fallon Community Park. The parade route will proceed west on E 3rd St, north on S Lincoln Ave. and west on W 1st St, end at VFW Post 805.
🇺🇸Belleville, IL - Nov. 11 @ 11 a.m. - Noon - ceremony and speech at the Belleville Public Square, Belleville, IL 62220
🇺🇸Perryville, MO - Nov. 11 @ 11 a.m. - music and ceremony
This year’s ceremony will feature keynote speaker Clay Hahs, President of the MNVM Board of Directors.
