🎶Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the snow is so….impedimg the safe travel of people. There are no strict inclement weather rules for appointments. If you feel unsafe driving to your appointment, send me a text and stay safe at home! There is no cancellations fee. I don’t need the kind of job security that comes from people being unsafe! If in doubt…soup.

Thank you Buddhism

Thank you Buddhism

Some days won’t be good — live fully anyway.
Not every sunrise brings joy. Some days feel heavy, confusing, or slow.
But life is still happening in those moments.
Buddhism teaches us to be present with whatever arises — not only the pleasant.
Even on the hard days, breathe deeply, walk gently, and stay awake to life.
Storms pass. Your presence remains.

Some people won’t be honest — speak truth anyway.
The world is full of masks and performances.
But your truth is your alignment.
Your words reflect your inner state.
Be the one whose integrity doesn’t depend on the behavior of others.
In Buddhism, truth (Satya) is not just spoken — it is lived.

Some hearts you love won’t love you back — love deeply anyway.
Not every connection is meant to be mutual.
Some souls meet us only to teach us something.
Loving without attachment is the highest form of love —
A love that gives without demanding, holds without clinging, cares without controlling.
This is the love that frees you.

Some games won’t be fair — play fair anyway.
Life won’t always reward effort immediately.
Some wins go unnoticed. Some wrongs go unpunished.
But karma is always active — silently recording intentions.
Stay honest. Stay noble. Let the universe take care of balance.

Some souls won’t be kind — be good anyway.
Our kindness is not a reaction to others.
It’s a reflection of who we are.
When you choose compassion in a world that often chooses ego —
you become the healing the world desperately needs.

There is a quiet power in being unshaken.
In doing what is right even when no one sees.
In loving without fear.
In living with depth, even on difficult days.

That’s where peace is.
That’s where growth is.
That’s where your soul rises.

Be that person.
Anyway.

Ring Theory in Trauma Informed Care
"If you want to scream or cry or complain, if you want to tell someone how shocked you are or how icky you feel, or whine about how it reminds you of all the terrible things that have happened to you lately, that's fine. It's a perfectly normal response. Just DO IT TO SOMEONE IN A BIGGER RING."

SuZen Acupuncture provides trauma informed care. I am NOT a trauma therapist so am not able to listen to detailed descriptions of the events that took place. What I provide as an acupuncturist is an override of sorts to your nervous system in order to bring your mind-body-spirt into better balance.
