The South Routt Medical Foundation is raising support this Colorado Gives season to strengthen the South Routt Medical Center and expand wellness programs for our community.

We serve a rural area of nearly 3,000 residents, many of whom rely on Medicare, Medicaid, or are uninsured. With long winter drives to Steamboat or Vail, our local medical center is a lifeline for families throughout Oak Creek, Yampa, Phippsburg, Stagecoach, Morrison Creek, and Toponas.

Mental & Behavioral Health Survey Now Open!

Your voice matters, South Routt.

A new Yampa Valley–wide Mental & Behavioral Health Survey is now underway, and we’re asking everyone who lives or works in Routt or Moffat County to take just a few minutes to help shape the future of mental health services in our region.

This confidential survey will help identify:
✔ Our community’s biggest mental health needs
✔ Barriers to care
✔ Gaps in resources
✔ Where support is working — and where it’s not

The results will guide funding, programs, and services that impact South Routt families, schools, and neighbors.

Routt County’s new Mental Health Response Team (MHRT) is now available to help our community in times of crisis. This dedicated team — made up of a mental health clinician, law enforcement officer, and case manager — provides compassionate, on-scene support for those experiencing a mental health emergency.

If you or someone you know is in crisis:

Routine testing found measles in local wastewater. Measles spreads easily, even before symptoms appear, and can linger in the air.

If you’re feeling sick or think you’ve been exposed, please call South Routt Medical before coming in and let us know if you’ve had a possible exposure so we can keep everyone safe.

Check your MMR vaccination status, it’s your best protection.

Symptoms (7–21 days after exposure) can include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a rash.

A few of our South Routt Medical team members were proud to participate in the CU Cancer Research Road Show at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs today! 🩺💙

Our team had the opportunity to visit with local residents, especially our senior community members, to share information about primary healthcare, answer health-related questions, and even help take vitals.

A huge thank you to the CU Cancer Research team, UCHealth, and all of the wonderful partners and organizers who brought this event together. Collaborations like this strengthen rural healthcare and help keep our community informed, supported, and healthy. 💪🏔️
