The Genesis Therapy Center is an established, not-for-profit counseling center providing collaborative, diverse and professional services.

Since our founding in 1987, The Genesis Therapy Center has provided high quality assessment, counseling and consultation services to individuals, couples, families and organizations. We continue to grow our practice with the same compassion, dedication and inclusion we have with our clients, donors and our community. The Genesis Therapy Center is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation. Tax-deductible

donations are encouraged through our Community Care Program, which provides services (on a sliding fee scale) to those in the communities we serve who have limited income and limited ability to pay. For more information about programs or to set up an appointment, call our Administrative Office.

The Genesis Therapy Center has added a mixology class to our “Fun and Games Spring Fundraiser” on Sunday, April 26, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Basset-certified mixologist will join us to teach us tricks of the trade for mixing cocktails! Registration for this 21-and-over fundraising event is $100/pp (class included), and features the class, open bar, buffet, games, music, raffle, and more. The Genesis Therapy Center recognizes World Autism Month to bring global attention to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a developmental condition affecting roughly 1 in 100 people around the world. This observance focuses on raising awareness, promoting acceptance, and fostering inclusion for individuals with autism and their families worldwide.

Parenting a child with autism can be difficult due to challenging behaviors, poor sleeping and eating habits, and additional care required. The professionals at The Genesis Therapy Center support LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the country today, April 10, on this National Day of Silence. The nationally recognized demonstration protests the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools. In an effort to raise awareness of ways their schools and communities can become more inclusive, last year, the switch was made to Day of (NO) Silence in opposition to the current attempted erasure of LGBTQ+ people, especially transgender and nonbinary people, from public life. Being silent is no longer an option. We must use our voices.

Every year, this day is recognized to educate the public on the harmful effects alcohol can have on a person.
