Last week was bittersweet as we celebrated Dr. Ayer’s last day working with us. We appreciate Dr. Ayer for taking amazing care of our patients while Dr. Jonelle was on maternity leave.

Dr. Ayer and her husband will be moving to the west coast. Please join us in wishing Dr. Ayer goodbye and good luck with her future endeavors!

It’s that time of year! The team attended the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting at McCormick Place. We took classes, walked the exhibit floor, learned about new technology and how to improve our patients’ experience 😄

After the convention, we enjoyed food, drinks and games at Punch Bowl Social! It was a fun-filled day of learning and team bonding. Until next year again!

We would like to share that a new bundle of joy has arrived! Dr. Jonelle had a baby girl named Amelia 🎀

Dr. Jonelle and her family are adjusting and enjoying their time together. Dr. Jonelle will return from maternity leave mid December.

We are pleased to introduce Dr. Uma Ayer to the practice!

Dr. Ayer joined the team at Oak Forest Dental Wellness in July 2025. She earned her D.M.D. at University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Afterwards, Dr. Ayer completed a general practice residency at the Mare Island VA Clinic in California. She also has experience working for an AI company interpreting dental X-rays helping with AI diagnostic accuracy.

Dr. Ayer currently resides in Chicago with her husband and their dog Miley. In her spare time, she likes to explore the city, try new restaurants, play piano and dance.
Dr. Ayer will be covering for Dr. Jonelle when Dr. Jonelle is on maternity leave. Dr. Jonelle is expecting her second child, a daughter due in September.

🎶Happy Thursday🙌🏼

The team had a fun outing watching Dr. Jonelle’s dad’s band. Dr. Jonelle’s dad is also a dentist and he has played piano and keyboard all his life.

Dr. Joe’s band is called “My Dad’s Cover Band” and they play at local bars and restaurants in the Southwest suburbs. The team got to enjoy delicious food and drinks and even got up to dance! 🪩
