In April, 1956, Cox Funeral Homes, Inc. was incorporated by businessmen from Oak Grove & Delhi, Louisiana. It was originally Kidder-Cox Funeral Homes, Flower Shops, Insurance & Ambulance Service. For 70 years we have served the families of Northeast Louisiana with compassionate professional services, striving to provide them with exceptional service. In 1973 Kidder-Cox purchased First National Funeral Homes in Oak Grove, Delhi & Lake Providence, Louisiana. In 1981, a name change to Cox Funeral Homes, Inc. was implemented with the slogan of “Our Family Serving Yours”. In 1987, the Cox Family obtained all of the outstanding shares of the corporation, making it a totally owned family corporation. A decision to expand to Bastrop, Louisiana was made in 2002. Our Bastrop location was dedicated in June 2003. As we celebrate 70 years of serving the families of Northeast Louisiana, we would like to thank everyone who has entrusted their family into our care.
