Happy Earth Day 2024!!! We celebrate and honor the planet that provides so much while also encouraging peace and neighborly kindness to one another!

Today, we had a "spa day" for a client's gardens with two yards of the really nice chicken mix compost from Sunland, pressure washed her patio and driveway, and enjoyed a nice, cold beer with her and some laughs after the work was complete.

We should all be so lucky to enjoy life so much!

Working (removal of 5 large bushes and root balls) on such a beautiful day is made better when it's on the west side! We are a little sunburnt and a little scratched up, but with very happy clients, and had a lovely breeze for the time we were out there!

Four long days, two HUGE dump runs, filled the largest dumpster the county will issue, scrubbed a ton of nastiness, about 40,000 steps, a lot of gagging and shaking our heads in disbelief, thousands of half empty Rockstar Energy drink cans, mouse turds, and cigarette butts, and countless motrin and Tylenol digested! This one is finally done and will be a beautiful home for the new owners!!!

- The before pictures are from the realtor, Johnston (Compass) who bravely took on most of this mess herself before calling us! She got all the food, most the dishes, garbage, and couch out before we went in and cleaned out the rest so the floors could all be replaced (happening end of this week). The tubs, shower, windows, and well...everything were brown/yellow from smoke and took some extra elbow grease to get it clean again.

We have been so insanely busy lately, but wanted to get out this little informative tidbit:
We went to a client's home on Friday who was concerned that she may have moles, and we were going to help find the track and set the trap for her. After seeing the yard though, we concluded she has a healthy, active, vibrant earthworm population! Lol! These tiny little, ugly mounds that pop up are actually earthworm castings. Once the weather warms, you won't see them much anymore as they have to go deeper to find the moisture. But these muddy, little mounds are so extremely helpful for your lawn in the long run! All those nutrients from the castings will go back into the soil and strengthen your grass.

No rain, nor snow, nor sleet could keep us from our jobs this past week (unlike the USPS). HA HA HA! Luckily, we had a couple indoor jobs: replacing some bathroom fans and door hardware, toilet innards, and a fun kitchen painting job while we got dumped on. Ok, the kitchen job was a neighbor, but still...

Let's talk gutters!!! Now thru beginning of October is the ideal time to get them cleaned out, a service we offer. 😀 Here's a job we completed recently that was long past overdue for it! There were trees and dandelions growing happily in them. Now they are sparkly clean and the clients, happy!
