Today, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that Alterity Psychological Services will be closing its doors on May 31st, 2025.
We have had the distinct privilege of providing mental health services to both military and civilian members of our community for over five years, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to each of you. It has been an honor to be a part of your lives, witnessing your resilience, growth, and healing.
We have faced increasing challenges in maintaining a small practice in the current healthcare landscape. Constant changes in insurance administration and regulations have made it impossible to sustain our practice and, more importantly, to provide care to patients relying on the benefits they pay for. Stepping away is deeply disappointing, knowing our community has such a need for quality mental health services.
While Amy Epp and Jennifer Laska will be concluding services on May 31st, Dr. Burdge will be offering telehealth visits to his patients on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in discussing this option, please contact us to determine availability and whether telehealth would be an appropriate fit for your care.
Our website will soon be updated with any future developments, including Dr. Burdge’s upcoming app and book, which are currently in production. If you would like to receive updates about these projects, please check back on our website at www.alteritypsychologicalservices.com and submit your contact information through the contact form when it is posted.
Many of you have been with us from the beginning—through the hard work of opening our doors, navigating the challenges of lockdown, and sharing in the joys and struggles of family life. Words cannot fully express the impact you have had on us. The honor of sharing in your journey has left an indelible mark on our hearts.
As we step into this new chapter, we carry each of you with us, cherishing the memories and experiences we have shared. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. You will forever remain in our thoughts and hearts.
