Energy Psychology
presented by Peter Nagel, LMFT on January 30, 2023 at 6:15pm
in 2nd floor classroom at Hearts & Sol Wellness

Peter Nagel, LMFT will be presenting our next Meaningful Monday talk at Hearts & Sol Wellness.

Energy Therapy has been offered around the world in different formats and settings. Mr. Nagel will introduce you to Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) which is one of approximately 20+ different types of energy work. During this evening meeting, Peter will demonstrate with group members kind assistance how Energy Therapy can reduce the impact of a recent, specific incident using AIT's wonderful Trauma Protocol. Energy Therapy can be used to treat single incidents or repetitive patterns of similar traumatic events. Energy Therapy uses the Chakras of the person's body as well as occasional muscle-testing to access the unconscious.

With the permission of a group member to experience, Peter will also demonstrate AIT's most important method which is called 3-Step Transformation. The 3-Step Transformation is a quick, lasting method for removing early trauma and its repetitions. This is accomplished by identifying the earliest incident of the expressed trauma or traumatic pattern. A short sentence is composed that captures the essence of the trauma which is then repeated aloud at each chakra.
Next identify the recent event that triggered the trauma and treat the connection between the two traumas. The work is supported with muscle testing thoughout and by the person holding their hands over each of their own chakras as directed by Mr. Nagel.

Peter Nagel has practiced highly effective forms of psychotherapy with adults over the past 40 years. Clients have sought help for anxiety, addiction, depression, conflicts with family or co-workers. These incidents or patterns have adversely impacted their lives whether as an adult or during their childhood. Peter worked in Randolph & Moore Counties for more than 3 decades before moving to Oak Island in 2019. He joined Hearts & Sol Wellness in December 2020.

Why Does This Keep Happening?
The Drama Triangle Explained

Please join us for the presentation by Peter Nagel, LMFT on Monday, February 27, 2023 in the second floor classroom of Hearts & Sol Wellness.

The Drama Triangle involves 3 positions or roles from which each person responds. These positions are Victim, Rescuer and Persecutor. People operate from these positions outside of their awareness until they are identified. Each individual shares responsibility for keeping the dynamics going until they switch the way they are behaving. Each person perceives themselves and others as either OK or Not OK.

A person acts like a Victim because they discount their ability or resources to solve their problems or that someone else needs to change for them to be happy. The reality is that this individual is suffering or potentially suffering yet they are not actually a victim although they give away their personal power to change their responses to life situations. They act helpless & hopeless as if their neediness is so acute that it prevents them from relieving their own suffering. They do not use their thinking to solve problems. Instead they expect others to think and/or respond for them or they invite others to find fault and criticize them.

A person responds as a Rescuer, also known as an Enabler, when they take over the thinking or problem solving for others. The Rescuer does things (thinking, responding) that the other person can do but won’t do for themselves. When we help others both of us exert the same amount of energy; when we Rescue others we take over the thinking or responding while the Victim's helplessness is reinforced. The Rescuer may also do more than their share or do things they really don’t want to do. So they accept the Victim’s discount of their personal power that they cannot solve their own problem.

Someone operating from The Persecutor position discounts that the individual's suffering is not real or justified and therefore needs to be punished somehow. The Persecutor, satisfying their own needs and acting in their own interest, verbally attacks or criticizes the other positions to make themselves feel superior,

The drama is created by the switches from one position to another. When people stop responding in the same predictable way, others will expect them to return to previous behavior. When the person stops Rescuing others who act like Victims and expect that person to use their own power to solve the problem, the Victim moves into Persecutor role and the former Rescuer may feel like a Victim because they are criticized for refusing to fix the other's problem.

As human beings, all of us can identify each of these ways of relating in others as well as ourselves. Peter can help you to understand your reactions and change your responses to become more effective.

Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) was developed by Asha Clinton, PhD. AIT is based on the belief that most physical, energetic, psychological and spiritual disorders have a complex causality that involves mind, body and spirit beginning with some original trauma. AIT Practitioners understand that trauma makes the muscles of the body go weak. Trauma can have developmental or situational origins. Through muscle testing, an AIT Practitioner can access physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues, recovering information that is stored at the unconscious level. AIT removes the energetic impact and consequences of such traumatic events.

The human body contains hundreds of locations where there is focused & concentrated energy. There are seven major energy centers, commonly referred to as "chakras". The chakras are centers of force, located within our body, through which we receive, transmit and process life energies. Each chakra in the body is recognized as a focal point of life-force relating to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energies. The chakras are the network through which body, mind and spirit interact as one holistic system. The main purpose in working with and understanding the chakras is to create integration and wholeness within ourselves. In this way the various aspects of ourselves (physical, material, sexual, spiritual, etc.) all work together, and that each aspect is as much a part of the whole as the others. The energy created from our emotions & mental attitudes runs through the chakras and is distributed to our cells, tissues and organs. Realizing this brings tremendous insight into how we ourselves affect our bodies, minds, and circumstances for better or worse.
