Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice

Pay: From $70.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience)
Job Type: Part-time / Hourly (with potential to transition to Full-Time)
About the Role
KidsConnect Pediatric Therapy is a therapist-owned private practice dedicated to providing high-level, neurodiversity-affirming care. We are seeking an experienced, independent, and compassionate Illinois Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team.
We value independence and initiative. This position is perfect for a seasoned clinician—including school-based professionals looking to transition to outpatient care—who can "hit the ground running" and take pride in providing high-quality, relationship-based therapy.
Growth Opportunity: While this role begins as a part-time position (up to 8 hours per week), we are looking for a clinician who wants to grow with us. For the right fit, this position can transition into a full-time role with expanded benefits.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Independent Caseload Management: Manage a pediatric caseload from comprehensive diagnostic evaluation through discharge.
Specialized Intervention: Deliver child-led, relationship-based interventions (DIR/Floortime®) and support Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) learners.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with our OTs and Mental Health Specialists to provide holistic, "whole-child" care.
Family Support: Provide education and training to families and schools to assist in the carryover of skills into the client’s daily life.
Documentation: Maintain timely and professional clinical records and progress reports.
Clinical Requirements
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.
Licensure: Valid Illinois State License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a pediatric outpatient setting (Required).
Expertise: Proven experience working with ASD, ADHD, and Emotional Dysregulation.
Frameworks: Proficiency in DIR/Floortime® and Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) is highly preferred.
