We’re proud to highlight Carrie Landsman’s recent seminar at the Illinois Academy of Audiology conference.

Carrie explained to the attendees that teamwork between audiology and physical therapy plays a critical role in achieving the best outcomes for patients experiencing dizziness and balance disorders. Carrie’s presentation explored how VNG findings can be applied in outpatient physical therapy to help resolve symptoms and improve both static and dynamic balance.

We had a roaring great time at our Centre post-holiday party! These “guys and dolls” make the Centre experience so special for our patients, so we had a “razzle-dazzle” night celebrating them. We think our team is the “cat’s meow.”

Welcome to the team, Alex! 🎉

We’re excited to introduce Alex, our newest Physical Therapist who is treating patients at our Riverside clinic! Alex earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from North Central College in Naperville and her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University.

Through her clinical rotations, Alex gained broad experience treating orthopedic, pelvic health, vestibular, neurological, post-operative, and chronic pain populations across a variety of settings. She also completed focused academic and clinical projects exploring conditions such as Cushing’s syndrome, secondary progressive MS, fibromyalgia, neurological rehabilitation using PNF techniques, and the benefits of physical therapy and Pilates.

Alex is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and has pursued continuing education in pelvic health and LGBTQ+ inclusive care to better support every patient she works with.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Alex enjoying Pilates, running, lifting, and watching scary movies. 👻💪

🌟 Welcome Sofie to the Centre PT team who is treating in our Oak Park clinic! 🌟

Sofie, an Oak Park native and highly trained physical therapist specializing in orthopaedic and performing arts rehabilitation.

Sofie earned her DPT from Northwestern, completed an orthopaedic residency with Johns Hopkins/George Washington University, and is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. She also completed a Performing Arts PT Fellowship at Johns Hopkins, where she helped develop wellness programs for young artists and contributed to dance-related research.

Growing up in Oak Park, Sofie danced at the Academy of Movement and Music, figure skated at Ridgeland Commons and performed in OPRF musicals—making her passion for supporting adolescent performers come full circle.

Outside the clinic, she loves weightlifting, dancing, crafting, reading, and spending time with her two beagles.

We are excited for our patients to meet Sofie! 💙✨

It’s our Texan’s birthday - And she is wanted for being amazing!

🎉 Happy Birthday to Lauren! 🎉

She’s one of our incredibly talented physical therapists who brings expertise in orthopedic rehab, a passion for patient-centered care, and a whole lot of heart to Centre every day.

When she’s not helping patients get stronger, Lauren is dreaming of a trip to Portugal (friendly people, cliffside beaches, incredible food and wine—excellent choice). Her ideal weekend? A classic Chicago summer spent with her fiancé: farmer’s market wandering, coffee in hand, catching a show, yoga, and climbing.
And here’s a fun surprise—Lauren is a music lover who plays the piano and used to sing in an a ca****la group 🎶
