We said a bittersweet goodbye to Sophie yesterday!
She’s been such a valued part of our team this past year, and while we’ll miss having her in the office, we’re so excited for her next chapter—medical school starts next month! 💙👩‍⚕️ Thank you Sophie. It was a pleasure having you as part of the Oak Park pediatrics team and getting to know you!

I am so thankful to our incredible staff for working in today’s conditions—windy outside, kids schools closed and no electricity all day— and they all kept an amazing attitude! Thank you!!!

Oak Park Pediatrics has very exciting news! We have an amazing pediatrician, Dr Matthew Lanson, joining the team full time starting mid August. We look forward to you meeting him. We know you will love him! (And no, Dr Matthew has no plans to retire 😀).

Here’s some information about Dr Lanson!⬇️

Dr. Matthew Lanson MD is a Board-Certified Pediatrician who takes pride in forming meaningful relationships with children and their parents. He received his Bachelor of Science from UCSB, his Medical Degree from VCU in Richmond, Virginia, and completed his Pediatric Residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona. After completing residency, he worked with the underserved population for 2 years as part of the Federal government.

Dr. Lanson is a native of Ventura County and is thrilled to return to the area to be close to his family. He and his wife, who is training to be Trauma Surgeon, are excited to welcome their new son.

With his free time, Dr. Lanson enjoys playing pickleball and golf, watching superhero movies, going to the dog park with his energetic aussiedoodle puppy, and rooting for his Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams.
