At The Loft at Eight Corners, teens are finding their voice and a community that truly listens.

Through art sessions, group discussions, and shared experiences, every hour spent here helps build confidence, reduces stigma, and empowers young people to take charge of their mental wellness.

Together with our partners and families, The Loft remains a space where every teen feels fully seen and supported.

Our CRSS Internship Hub is helping shape the next generation of mental health professionals..

Each intern brings their own lived experience to the work, turning empathy into action and connection into care.

This program isn’t just building careers, it’s building community.

We’re proud of every graduate who now carries forward NAMI’s mission of peer-to-peer support and stigma-free mental health advocacy.

This year, more than 900 people found comfort, understanding, and hope inside NAMI Metro Suburban’s Living Rooms.

Each visit represents someone who felt seen, supported, and no longer alone in their struggle.

With each individual who walks through our doors seeking help, we’re reminded of the difference that compassion and connection can make.

Our doors remain open 24/7 because everyone deserves a place to breathe, talk, and heal.

139 people found connection, purpose, and belonging through our Drop-In Center this year.

From group discussions to art sessions, celebrations, and everyday conversations, they shared mental health support, skill-building exercises, and community focused activities.

The Drop-In Center is more than a place to visit, it’s a place to belong.

A safe, stigma-free environment where adults living with mental health conditions can grow, socialize, and find strength through shared experience.

An enormous thank you to the sponsors who made this event possible. Regain Hydration & Recovery, In Motion Counseling, the treehouse, and The Local Flour Stand Cafe.

This past month, the Drop-In Center was buzzing with activity and community spirit!

We kicked off September with 78 guests at our annual Labor Day Cookout, hosted tours for partners including Live4Lali, Thresholds and Forest Park Public Library Young Adults.

We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with creative expression and fellowship. And our team connected with neighbors across Maywood at the PLCCA Resource Fair, Way Back Inn Gala, and On-the-Go Wellness Group at the Maywood Public Library.

Thank you to everyone who joined, shared and supported. Together, we’re making mental health support more accessible for all.
