I'm not sure if everyone knows but Chiropractic Care is considered an essential service through this pandemic. I have been maintaining regular hours with my friend Chris Golda who has been handling the front desk for me and maintaining the treatment rooms. Only one patient is allowed in the office at a time. The tables are disinfected between patients and I have been following aseptic technique (Aseptic technique means using practices and procedures to prevent contamination from pathogens. It involves applying the strictest rules to minimize the risk of infection. Healthcare workers use aseptic technique in surgery rooms, clinics, outpatient care centers, and other health care settings).

This was the testimony from Harvey Lillard. He received the first Chiropractic Adjustment from D.D. Palmer (the founder of Chiropractic) September, 18, 1895. Mr. Lillard's response to the treatment was exceptional. His positive results to his treatment was the first of many to come in the Chiropractic profession. It is for this reason that Chiropractic was founded on a philosophy that if you open communication between the brain and the rest of the body by treating the spine the body will function closer to 100% of it 's potential.

Harvey Lillard's testimony appears in The Chiropractor, January, 1897. A copy of this original testimony can be viewed in the Special Collections and Archives.
