Substance use prevention starts in childhood. One prevention strategy, known as Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs), focuses on everyday experiences for children. This can be as simple as being a positive, stable figure in a child's life.

We know children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and well-connected. By creating environments where youth feel valued and included, communities can play a vital role in lowering substance use, reducing mental health challenges, and promoting overall well-being.
