Tonight, at the James Club Center in Oakland Park, a phenomenal Christian rapper in Recovery, Brother Bo, who I picked up from the jail 13 years ago, will be performing and speaking at our fellowship meeting. 7 PM is the free barbecue and the meeting starts at 7:30 PM and all are invited. All by God’s grace.

James Club Recovery in Oakland Park has TWO grace period beds available for men and ONE for women. If you're serious about long-term recovery, this could be your chance!

✅ Zero tolerance policy – must drop clean
✅ 9-12 month structured program
✅ Nonprofit scholarship covers start-up cost
✅ We assist with employment
✅ Safe, clean, and sober housing (must be able to go on a top bunk initially)

📌 After three weeks, rent is $230 per week plus an affordable payment on your balance.
📌 Food included on Wed, Thurs, and Fri nights at our meetings.

Michael Calavetta was court ordered to James Club a year ago after being arrested for non violent drug related possession charges. He could not stop drinking and doing co***ne. He has a masters degree in psychology and a former mental health counselor from New Jersey, but he lost everything. Tonight Mike picked up his ONE YEAR CLEAN medallion. He is on our staff, has a sponsor and a home group, he mentors many of the men and we are so proud of him as a community. 🙏🏽❤️

The James Club Recovery program includes food on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights for our newcomers in phase 1. Tonight I made, for approximately 40 members, homemade Italian macaroni and cheese. All by the grace of God…🙏🏽

Our new board member and treasurer, former Judge John Murphy, came to visit us at the Center in Oakland Park today. We discussed the programs that the nonprofit is helping fund. Our pay it forward program and the grace period program has already produced many success stories. If you know, someone struggling and needs help, with or without money, please reach out to us. I made Pasta Bolognese (turkey) for former judge Barbara McCarthy‘s fellowship meeting tonight. Every Thursday, our phase 1 & 2 members, which includes our scholarship and grace period clients, come to this informative meeting to learn life skills. The former Judge has been doing this for almost a year now as a volunteer. If anyone wants to get involved to help us, please contact me.
