🎄🎉 Christmas Cheer & "Reindeer Games" 🎉🎄

We had an amazing time celebrating Christmas today at the Wellness and Recovery Center. From playing “Reindeer Games” and singing Christmas carols to socializing and sharing lots of laughs, our day was filled with holiday cheer and togetherness.

It was so special to see our service users connecting, smiling, and enjoying every moment, and to feel the love and support that surrounds our center from the community we serve. ❤️💚

From all of us at Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc., we want to wish our service users, families, friends, and our entire community a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with joy, peace, and bright new beginnings. 🎅🎄✨ We are so grateful for your continued support and trust in us!

🌱🎨 Community Art Project Alert - “Growing Together”! 🎨🌱

Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc. Wellness and Recovery Center is putting together a giant collaborative portrait made up of canvases from organizations all across our communities. We would love for you to be part of it!

Each participating group will receive a pre-sketched canvas to add your own creative touch. When everyone’s finished, all pieces will be assembled into one big artwork that highlights how we truly are Growing Together.

🗓 Deadline to complete your canvas: Monday, January 12th, 2026

✨ All ages, groups, and community organizations are welcome!

If your organization would like to join in, comment below or message us and we’ll get your canvas to you.

With Thanksgiving coming up, we want to take a moment to simply say THANK YOU to our amazing service users and to the awesome community around us.

🍁We are grateful for the people who walk through our doors every week, who show up even on the hard days, and who give Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc. its heart. Your strength, your honesty, and your willingness to keep trying mean more than we can put into words.

🦃We are also thankful for the families, partners, and community supporters who stand beside us. Your support helps us create a space where people feel safe, respected, and welcomed just as they are.

This time of year can be comforting for some and heavy for others, and we see it all. Wherever you find yourself this season, we hope you experience moments of peace, connection, and warmth. Thank you for being part of our community and for allowing us to be part of your journey.

✨ Paint & Sip Day at the Wellness & Recovery Center! ✨

Today’s group was all about slowing down, getting creative, and enjoying some cozy comfort. Wellness and Recovery Center staff made homemade crockpot hot chocolate for everyone to “sip” while service users painted beautiful paint-by-number canvases of beach scenes, peaceful woods, windmills, flowers… you name it!

The room was full of laughter, color, and some seriously impressive artwork. 💚🎨

🦃🍁 What started as a few fun fall groups turned into a full Grateful Gatherings bulletin board without us even realizing it! Between our Turkey Talk, Leaf It Behind, Cozy Connections, and today’s conflict resolution groups, Garrett County Lighthouse, Inc. service users created something beautiful together filled with thankfulness, laughter, and teamwork.

It’s always amazing to see how creativity and connection naturally come together here at the Wellness and Recovery Center. 💚

With recent SNAP cuts, your donations are making a real difference for local families. We're open today and accepting non-perishable food or hygiene items in our entryway.
