It’s hotly debated. Maybe you want your kid to have one for safety concerns. But you resist because it’s hard to limit other aspects of use.
What rules will you or have you imposed? What are your concerns/tips do you have about giving your child a smartphone?

Postpartum depression is a type of depressive disorder associated with childbirth. While it can affect any new mother, there are certain risk factors which may increase the chance of developing the condition after pregnancy.

Although most people are aware of postpartum depression, many people don't realize that having a baby can also cause feelings of sadness. How do you tell when these feelings are caused by an actual mental illness or just part of the adjustment to parenthood?

I was honored to interview two amazing single moms who experienced postpartum depression and conquered it. I have learned so much from them, if you want to know more about their stories, you can visit the link on my bio to go to my blog and read more. Just search for “postpartum depression” on my blog.

Here are some pieces of advice I received from two fellow single moms by choice about adjusting to parenthood.

1. Expect the unexpected

2. Try not to feel ashamed--it's a hormonal and not your fault.

3. Ask for and accept support, even if you don’t want it

4. Don’t delay in asking for help

5. Remember you’re not alone, many women struggle with postpartum depression

6. Remember you don’t have to love the newborn stage--and it will get easier

7. If medication would help, remember your baby will be OK with a bottle

Postpartum depression is a real and serious thing that you should not try to handle alone. If you recognize the symptoms of depression in yourself, please speak to your doctor about it.
