Dr. Kim Arrington is a psychologist, educator, and former dancer whose work bridges clinical expertise with cultural insight. With over 20 years of experience, she brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for identity and lived experience to every therapeutic relationship. Her approach is collaborative and grounded in cultural humility, helping clients explore the patterns that shape their lives and build the skills they need to move forward.

We would like to welcome Dr. Cheryl Ellis, Psy.D. to the team at Deeper Than Color: Social Justice & Strength-Based Psychotherapy and Consulting!

Dr. Cheryl Ellis is a licensed clinical psychologist based in Hartford, Connecticut. Over the past 30 years, she has provided individual, group, and family psychotherapy across outpatient clinics, community-based programs, in-home reunification services, inpatient settings, and school-based clinics. Her clinical expertise includes supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families in navigating depression, trauma, and the impact of gendered and racialized stress.

We would like to welcome Dr. Brianna Baker Ph.D. to the team at Deeper Than Color: Social Justice & Strength-Based Psychotherapy and Consulting!

Dr. Brianna Baker is a pre-licensed psychologist whose clinical focus includes trauma, relational healing, and women’s mental health across the lifespan. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, where she specialized in Black family systems, identity development, and prevention science. Throughout her work, Dr. Baker has provided psychotherapy to individuals and families dealing with trauma, depression, family stress, and identity-related issues. Her work is rooted in a culturally responsive and relational approach that thoughtfully considers how social context, culture, and social systems influence emotional well-being. She is committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal and grow.
