There’s something sacred about a library.
Even in my younger days, when I was endlessly searching for something I couldn’t yet name, I knew I could count on the quiet aisles and the scent of timeworn pages to bring me home.
Not home in the sense of love and family — I had that
but a home for my hungry soul.
Books have always felt like old friends,
each one offering a doorway, an escape, a kind of solace.
No matter the genre, I always find comfort in their company.
