In child psychiatry it’s common to wait 6-8 weeks for an appointment, and up to 3 months In adult psychiatry. It’s so important to identify and receive early intervention for learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders. Failure to do so can lead to feelings of low self-esteem, depression, anxiety throughout one’s life. Additionally, people often don’t achieve to their full potential, or have to work much harder than others without intervention.
