How do you hear feedback? Do you go into defensiveness mode and strike back?

I challenge you to listen for something you can own in the feedback.

It can lead to growth opportunities, as usually the feedback comes from those closest to us. We are mirrors to one another if we take the time observe and really listen intently.

If you need help in this area of your life PM for a discovery call. Would love to help you in your self discovery.

If another person is the most important thing in your life, then you're in trouble because they become responsible for your suffering. But if consciousness is the most important thing in our lives and relationship is a means toward that end...Ah! Then we are approaching paradise. We approaching the possibility of actually becoming a human being before we die.-Stephen & Ondrea Levine

Topic today "Relational Ethics"

I'm sponsoring you too have the best life you can, and you're sponsoring me. We are co-sponsors. We regard our time together as a collabrative effort to make life better for each of us.- Sharon Salzberg

Isn't this a beautiful way to look at all our relationships in our life. I don't know about you but for me there is a sense of freedom in this statement of intention.

Kindness is not a fixed trait that we either have or lack, but more like a muscle that can be developed and strengthened. We exercise kindness in any moment when we recognize our shared humanity-with all the hopes, dreams, joys, disappointments, vulnerability, and suffering it implies.

Such simple but profound awareness, levels the playing field. We are all humans doing the best we can.-Sharon Salzberg author of Real Love

Good morning from Halo Farm! If you like the posts on this page and find the information useful please help me by sharing with your friends my page.

My mission is to help others learn how to take back control of their lives and live more joyful, connected and peaceful lives. We all possess the ability and sometimes we need a little nudge and new skills to unearth those squashed places within that have been laying dormant creating the limited beliefs.

I believe you always have πŸ’― percent control of your life and when you add the right skill set you can be a better captain of your ship. If your in partnership that means the same for you individually and learning how to maintain your individuality while bridging your lives together and creating a healthy family life of empathy, understanding, effective communication, and learning how to negotiate wins for everyone in the family.

I have had a love of family my whole life and as a product of divorce my personal study of the human condition and specifically in regards to couples and families have intrigued me my whole life. I have studied and gathered much helpful information on how the breakdown of the family doesn't need to happen if we were taught differently how to negotiate such complicated unions. It has been my life's mission. I am now ready to start sharing tools and tips on how to keep your family together. It is possible to turn a relationship perceived as doomed around if your willing to do the work to repair the union.

I have been held back too by my limiting beliefs based on why would someone listen to me because I haven't been married myself. My mentors have encouraged me to be brave and share and so here I go. I have lived what would equate to marriage without a certificate. So my personal experiences with my keen oberservations along with my insatiable desire to learn and improve have propelled me to this place now of wanting to help others learn how to keep their families together while maintaining their own self identities which is key.

Long post but if you read this far I thank you for indulging me to share my mission. Look forward to getting to knowing you all more and having you share with others who could benefit from my knowledge and skills that I want to teach. Feel free to ask questions or private message me and let me know what subjects are curious to you.

Make it a great day and remember you've got this!

Here is a teaching moment with Shamrock Sam. Notice he is in a pasture of plentiful grass and yet the grass on the other side seemed more interesting than the grass on his side.

He must work a lot harder to consume the grass on the other side of the fence. Maybe like humans we are always looking for the challenge as we think it will satisfy us more than what is right in front of us.

Maybe we should be finding ways to challenge ourselves and quiet the chatter of the mind about how the other person or thing is not making us happy and somehow it is their responsibility to do so.

The responsibility is always πŸ’― percent ours to make ourselves happy. Go within and question your desires and find something true about where those desires originate. Find a solution and take responsibility for improving what is lacking. The people and things in your life are only a mirror of yourself. What you find missing or lacking is only reflected back to you through others.

Take time now that the world has demanded you to be home to reflect on those areas of your life that you think the grass is greener on the other side. Start with being grateful for what's on your side which will open your heart to finding the solutions to how you can improve your side of the fence.

You've got this!
