Last week, we came together for a powerful conversation on telehealth, interstate compacts, and community. One thing was clear: this moment is resonating widely. As Reed shared, “we’re all swimming in the same sea of emerging technology.”

Telehealth is here to stay—but it can’t replace what matters most: connection, even across distance. Healing still happens in relationships, regardless of whether that connection is virtual or in person.

❗Attention Current and Former Foster Youth!❗ A Home Within has a corps of hundreds of licensed volunteer therapists who are ready to donate one hour a week of free therapy to those with lived experience of the foster care system.

Our model -- one therapist, one client, for as long as it takes -- is intended to reduce financial barriers and offer a long-term, relationship-based approach to psychotherapy. If you're located in one of the 25+ states where we have licensed therapists, refer yourself or spread the word today.

Meet some of the amazing researchers behind the work! 📓 For more than two decades, the Foster Care Research Group at the University of San Francisco has partnered with A Home Within to study the impact of long-term, relationship-based therapy for people with lived experience in foster care.

Today, that work includes our active Randomized Controlled Trial and continued collaborative learning. Behind this research is a dedicated team who care deeply about and helping expand access to high-quality mental health care.

We're honored to share A Home Within’s 2025 Impact Report, highlighting all that this incredible community made possible last year!
