My friend James has crossed the gerat waters. I will miss him.

The following are the words of his loving wife Megumi;

To all those who love James:

James passed peacefully at about 1 am on Friday 6/23, next to me in bed. We had acknowledged with each other earlier in the day that he was going to pass (though I had thought it'd be a good bit more time), and I think that he felt free to let go of his bodily restrictions and suffering. I feel he left feeling safe and loved.

There will be a Celebration of James in the Bay Area the weekend of July 7-8 - details to come. We are asking those who would like to share photos expressing James' love, character and life to gather these together, and we will soon share an email address to direct them to for compilation into a short video to be shown at the gathering. We will also be sharing information for anyone who would like to contribute financially toward the costs of James' cremation and celebration gathering.
