USE YOUR PRETTY TO BURN THE ESTABLISHMENT 💥

I once resigned from a once-in-a-lifetime position in Bahia after being poached from Stanford University because during the paid orientation the youth disclosed all the f*d up things they were told to do by the staff and how they were treated during the summer internship, all to succeed and make it to college. They were all brown kids from SoCal.

I denied twice, offers to co-lead two different EJ organizations because it meant that I would have to “marry” a white co-lead. One of them, again, another org where the youth were exploited, even called “slaves” in a “joke” one time. Yeah the guy who said it was a white man with power.

I had the building manager of my apartment building evicted along with his wife and two kids because of sexual harrassment of a minor. He made some in appropriate passes to me, but I’m an adult and can maneuver that. But trust, I got my people on it - squashed it.

TBH I didn’t use my pretty for any of this. I just mention that because it feels like people don’t know who they’re f*ing with when they see me. But ask me to contribute to your mission and serve our youth and hand me this trash? No thank you. All of you will be destroyed eventutally. It’s nature’s law.

Fire Horse energy is already upon me. I’m building my SubStack (substack.com/raynellerino) to get my stories out to you and create spaces for us to align to nature and nurture each other and our strengths so we can see this through. Come on y’all!

STOP FIXING PEOPLE and start working on yourself.

Coaches, wellness practitioners, care givers this one’s for you, especially. The hardest part about being in the business of helping people is believing they have the answers already. I get it, why else would they need us? But why would we know what they need? We’re not them.

If you wanted technical advise or specific expertise that you think I have, that’s different. That would be me being a consultant. And I also do that work, but when it comes to coaching…we don’t give the answers.

We guide you back to your own power andinner wisdom.

Cause let’s face it - we’re socialized to believe an expert can tell us about ourselves. Really it’s because the oppressor wants us to believe we need them. We don’t 🙅🏽‍♀️

The performance of people pleasing can leave you with a heavier emotional weight than you thought. The lingering feeling of regret for not being truthful and honest about how something is impacting you is a common occurrence for the people pleaser.

But once you start to work on yourself you start to realize how much you’ve buried just to keep the peace. Your body suddenly can feel lighter or energy blocks start to move when you finally accept your truth and want to live by it, relationship by relationship, at each interaction.

How freeing would it feel if you were able to speak your truth all the time instead of defaulting to the people pleasing?

This whole year has been “wake up to some tragic news while needing to keep it moving”. It’s a different kind of exhaustion, this 2025 😓

The many mantras I’ve repeated throughout the year:

🌿 Do the best we can.
🌿 One foot in front of the other.
🌿 Flow with the changes.
🌿 Accept and surrender.

With all that being said, let’s at least invest in each other, invest in bettering ourselves. Let’s be in class together to learn better communication and relationship building skills with nature as our guide back to self. I assure you even these classes will offer a space to move through big emotions and show you gifts you might not have considered you have ✨🫶🏽

Post healing hike groups photos are always the best 🥹
Cause we do all this intense healing and releasing work, get vulnerable, have major ah-ha moments, and process some deep stuff! Then at the end when we close and give gratitude it’s like we’re all different.

People feel lighter, happier, grounded. And sometimes the lessons are so big it calls for that good cathartic ugly cry 😂😩 -last slide

I say my measure of success as a transformative coach is counting how many ugly cries I can get from hikers, lol! That’s when I know they’ve done some deep and meaningful work on themselves. And we’re all here for it!
