A special thank you to everyone who contributed to our holiday book drive for AHS pediatric and pediatric dentistry patients! Your generosity helped us collect 483 books (and growing!) that will be delivered soon!
The books promote literacy, help our youngest patients to feel excited about visits, and build and strengthen doctor-patient relationships. You helped us exceed our goal of 225 books, and we are grateful!

Sixteen-year-old Ramon hadn’t given much thought to what it might be like to become a doctor or a nurse.

But that changed when he was introduced to Alameda Health System's HealthPATH Health Excellence & Academic Leadership (HEAL) internship at his high school.

Ramon gained first-hand experience in a hospital setting, even getting to witness two surgeries, and it shifted his entire outlook on the future.

Alameda Health System Foundation loves DAFs! DAF Day Giving Link in bio 🌸

DAFs are a charitable giving account that allows donors to make a contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to nonprofits over time. Anyone can open a DAF!

With a DAF, you can:
• Consolidate all your charitable contributions into one giving account
• Receive an immediate tax deduction in the year you contribute to your DAF
• Avoid tracking multiple receipts — you only need one for your DAF contribution
• Support causes you care about — now or over time
• Bunch contributions — you can combine multiple years’ worth of donations into one year to exceed the standard deduction threshold. A DAF allows you to contribute a large sum before December 31 this year, to secure the tax benefits in 2025, and then spread out your grants over time.
