Were you one of the lucky ones who got a COVID puppy? 🐶I think the majority of my neighborhood got one, which makes walking around my neighborhood delightful! 🎉💕☺️

How many walks did you take around your block during the height of quarantine (w/or w/o puppy)?

NICE!

Believe it or not, walking may seem like a "nothing" exercise, but it is not. If you take a daily walk, you are doing so many wonderful things for your body. Congratulations if you are! If you are not taking daily walks,  can I help motivate you to do so? 

One idea is after dinner or lunch. Can you reserve some time to stroll around the neighborhood (with kids or your partner if you can)?
 
Another idea is to get a dog (ha! Half joking).


In my Orthopedic Manual Therapy Certification Course, I learned that walking can be one of the most beneficial things you can do for a tight low back, and hips. I always urge my clients who are in pain to make time for a light walk, even if it needs to be around their backyard, or inside their home. 

I came across an article from the "Arthritis Foundation" on the 12 benefits of walking. I wanted to share them with you to help motivate you to get outdoors and stroll!

Walking Can:
1. Improve Circulation
2. Strengthen your bones
3. Enjoy a longer life
4. Lighten your mood
5. Lose weight
6. Strengthen muscles
7. Improve sleep
8. Support your joints
9. Improve your breath
10. Slow down mental decline
11. Lower Alzheimer's risk
12. Reduce risks of disability

Now how is that for one of the most accessible exercises available to us?

Getting out of my comfort zone…What is challenging for you?

Hi there! ☀️

I feel like I'm a broken record -- things are hard. Running a fitness business in this climate is hard and unpredictable -- I'm exhausted and I wanna just give up. I don't always have the answers. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Sigh.... 
So you know what I did? 
I put on my tennis shoes 👟 blasted 90's techno music and ran with my dog for 45 minutes. 
I do not run. I hate running. Running is really hard for me. 
But you know what? I felt so good afterwards. Exhilarated even. It was so nice to get out of my comfort zone.
You see, I have been obsessing over the elephant 🐘 in the room so much that the elephant just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Nothing has really cleared, no answers have been presented.

Getting out of my comfort zone and sweating a little just made me feel better. Plain and simple. 

But this email isn't really about me. It's about YOU. ‼️

Muscle cramping is super common, but it can be so frustrating when it happens! I have a client who’s hamstrings always cramp when she is transitioning between exercises.

Eating Foods high in magnesium, potassium and electrolytes are a great way to combat those cramps—as well as staying hydrated! Even dark chocolate can help (magnesium rich).

I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’ve been slow to start each morning, my body is tired from little humans climbing me, nursing on me and treating me literally as “Mommy mountain!”
I’m trying my best to do a little work out and keep me feeling tip top, but man! Even a few seconds of plank feels like the biggest challenge.
So I greatly appreciated this little comic and thought I would share!
So happy Tuesday y’all and have a great week! Even if it feels like you’ve been holding that plank for eternity.

It's all the rage!🥳
What happens to PrecisionPoint on June 15th?
I wish I can tell you that we are going to go back to what we were before. but the studio has changed due to Covid, the AB5 Law, less physical space and less equipment.
Virtual classes are here to stay, so if you are enjoying them. No worries.
All instructors are pretty full right now, but we will put you on a waitlist once some of us are able to open up our schedules more!

Bonnie will teach a few pop up reformer classes soon!
Once her kids are in summer camp.
