It can be hard to reach out to someone not knowing if they’re going to be helpful or if it will feel safe enough to talk about deeply personal matters. Knowing this, I engage in therapy sessions with care and respect to each individual. I will thoughtfully talk with you and explore what deeper issues might be affecting you in a collaborative and non-judgmental way. I work with adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression and relationship difficulties. I have extensive training and experience using a variety of therapy approaches including CBT, DBT and psychoanalysis. If you’re looking for therapy for your child or teen, I believe that providing a foundation of support for children now can have a lasting impact on their mental health long into the future. I believe that kids show their thoughts and feelings through their behaviors and play. With play therapy, DBT and CBT skills, I help children improve their tolerance of difficult feelings and experiences, increase verbal expression and decrease behavioral difficulties such as not listening, resisting adult expectations and avoidance. I also work with parents to help strengthen their relationship with their child. I have extensive experience working with children who have anxiety, ADHD/ADD, behavioral problems, mood disorders and a history of trauma.
