We provide a community-oriented space to learn, share and shop for healthful products to enrich your pantry. We aspire to create a community resource for preserving culture, tradition and health. We offer weekly classes on the craft, the science and the enjoyment to preserved goods! Participants will recieve in-depth recipe guides, lecture notes and samples of our creations to take home! NEW *GOOD THINGS* in the shop!

What can we say about everyone’s favorite local chef and cookbook writer other than you should definitely pick up a copy of her latest book “Good Things” for an essential, joyful guide to cooking and living!

We fell in love with Fangst’s delicately spiced tinned fish. With flavors like their Sardines smoked with Heather & Chamomile, Trout smoked with Juniper & Lemon Thyme, and Mussels marinated with Dill and Fennel Seeds, you’ll want to try them all!

This French Spatula from USA-made Jonathan’s Spoons was giving us big “spurtle meets spatula vibes”. We are stoked to add it to our selection of favorite wooden cooking tools that are meant to last a lifetime!

When we stumbled across Sonoma -based If & When Preserved Meyer Lemon Paste we were so excited to see one of our favorite ferments lovingly prepared into a ready-to-use condiment with outstanding flavors! Don’t sleep on the Cumin Garlic with your next fish dish!

Trying out a recipe from one of our favorite books - Preserving the Japanese Way. These green beans cloaked in miso (ingenmame no misozuke) make a simple and flavorful side dish perfect for a traditional Japanese dinner. Misozuke is a Japanese preservation method that involves pickling or marinating in a mixture primarily made from miso paste. This process enhances and tenderizes the ingredients, creating a rich, savory, and umami-packed flavor.

This might have to replace the green bean casserole this Friendsgiving!
