Bliss Fitness and Health Playful group fitness and yoga, massage therapy, and personal training are the services at the core of our vision.

We help Oakland-area folks who are “allergic to the gym” develop a strength and fitness routine without feeling awkward, embarrassed, or overwhelmed so they can FINALLY find joy in movement and appreciation for what their bodies can do. Bliss Fitness & Health’s vision and mission is to support a diverse community of people looking for ways to maintain a fit, healthy, vibrant life by offering services and hosting events that bring people together. Even though we take health seriously, silliness, laughter, and ridiculousness are highly encouraged. We keep classes small and look out for our members. We’ll also hold you accountable for putting your health and well-being at the top of your list.

🎉Where’s a confetti cannon when you need one? 🎉

I really need one right now because we have to celebrate by welcoming Jenn Reeves to the Bliss team! It’s exciting to be expanding the team and inheriting the amazing knowledge and experience that she brings with her.

A little about Jenn:
She brings over 20 years of experience as a fitness instructor and has immersed herself in fitness and wellness environments for even longer. She’s done it all - trained with professional and semi-professional athletes in football and basketball, volunteered with youth programs keeping at-risk kids engaged with sports and studies, taught alllll the classes (kickboxing, circuit training, spin, Zumba, barre, HIIT, aqua-aerobics and more!) She has maintained the loyalty of her private training clients for several years, making sure they get to keep doing the things they love.

Jenn has discovered that her passion aligns with her talent for spotting nuances in the way her clients move. She’s a stickler for form, but knows when to modify so that her clients can do what they can and set them up for progressing without injury or defeat.

Jenn has her certifications for personal training in NASM and ACE, and group fitness certification through ACE, as well as the collection of CEUs over the years to support them. She is currently on the path to obtain her degree in physical therapy at Cal State East Bay.

When she’s not training, you can find Jenn walking her dogs or playing fun Auntie to her young niece.

Jenn has openings now for personal training (one-on-one or with a buddy) if you’ve been curious about starting your own, unique training program. This is an excellent opportunity to get the attention you need to learn excellent form so you can feel confident and safe to build an injury-proof routine.

Up your self-care game - literally

Sometimes completing that crossword puzzle, or Sudoku, or Wordle is just SO SATISFYING, right?

And sometimes we need a little nudge to put our own mental and physical health at the top of our long-ass list of things to do.

For the month of August, we're taking our love of games, dopamine hits, and self-care to make feeling good a little more attainable and fun.

Wave hello 👋🏻to our new instructor, Jessie!
She's been delighted to find how welcoming and easygoing all of our clients are, and has been taking charge of Tuesday and Thursday night classes with me as her sidekick. Jessie's naturally friendly and upbeat personality combined with her experience in designing programs has made me very grateful that we found each other! We're getting into the playful realm of class design for our one-of-a-kind Rebel Recess class and I'm having a blast sharing that with her. I can't wait to see how she adds her personal flavor to the class. It's one of the most creative classes we offer, which also can be the most challenging to plan for. Mark your calendars for that class to return to its slot on our schedule on Saturday July 19th at 9:00 am! I'll be there to help kick things off and I'm so excited about it!

Here's the hype about our Tues & Thurs 7 am class!

"The 7am Morning Hype class at Bliss Fitness has been a game changer for my fitness. I am able to ensure that I get my workout in before starting my day and that has allowed me to consistently get my workouts in. I feel stronger and can stay strong with just 2 classes a week! It is a great, fun, interesting workout with a terrific instructor and others sharing my passion for staying strong."
