This Volunteer Month, we’re proud to celebrate our incredible group volunteers. These teams generously share their time and talents to strengthen our programs and support the individuals we serve.

From refreshing our program spaces and leading activities with clients to assembling supply baskets and taking on special projects such as landscaping at our psychosocial rehabilitation programs, their impact is felt in so many meaningful ways.

This week, HopeLink’s Director of Peer Services, Brittney Parker, spoke at the Fairfax County Budget Hearing on behalf of BeWell, our peer-led health coaching program in partnership with the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board.

BeWell supports individuals living with serious mental illness in improving their overall health and wellness and has helped more than 1,000 people since the program began. It is now at risk of losing its $618,952 county contract. Losing this program would have a real impact on the people we serve and our community as a whole.
“Losing this program will be a significant step backwards for mental health services and those in Fairfax who’ve benefited from it. We hope that the Fairfax Board of Supervisors will keep funding this important and impactful program,” states HopeLink CEO, Joe Getch.
