During a visit last week, Utah Congressman Burgess Owens learned about Bloom at PARC - A ServiceSource Affiliate in Clearfield. Bloom is a self-employment program where artisans with disabilities create handmade cards, soaps, candles, and other gift items. Artisan Jace gave the Congressman a ceramic box he made in the program and Retail Sales Coordinator Cassidy Mason showed him other products available and answered his questions.

Our Bloom program works with artisans with disabilities in Virginia and in North Carolina at Employment Source - A ServiceSource Affiliate. Products are sold at local craft fairs and shops, with the proceeds of each sale going directly to the producing artisan.

M Street NW, Washington, DC 20007. And don’t forget our Ellmore House Gift Shop located in Herndon.

Congratulations to Amanda Smedley, ServiceSource Director of Long Term Community Integration Services, on her graduation from the Leadership Fairfax, Inc. Institute (LFI)! The LFI program is designed for the most promising established leaders and professionals from the business, nonprofit, and government sectors throughout the Greater Northern Virginia Region.

Over the course of nine months, LFI participants engage in experiential learning, discussion groups, and site visits, meeting with leaders and experts, interacting with community decision-makers, and gaining the insights and tools needed to address complex regional challenges.

The Leadership Fairfax Institute develops visionary leaders and prepares them to make a meaningful impact in our community. We appreciate the effort it takes to complete the LFI program and couldn’t be prouder to have Amanda on our team!

Our Bloom artisans have been busy creating beautiful gift items for Mother’s Day! The artisans handcrafted totes, candles, soaps and special greeting cards for the occasion. Please come by our Bloom markets located in ServiceSource Oakton office and our Ellmore House gift shop located at Frying Pan Park and support our artisans with disabilities. All items are sold on consignment with 100% of the proceeds going to the artisans.
