Orion Physical Therapy Specialists LLC (OPTS) is an out-patient, physical therapy private practice that services the Greater Dayton area. The mission of Orion Physical Therapy Specialists is to provide quality, evidence-based, hands on physical therapy services to the community. OPTS is dedicated to offering competent, effective, and efficient care for clients who present with orthopaedic musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Each member of Orion Physical Therapy is a highly trained clinical specialist who is dedicated to providing expert care with the goal of restoring our client’s optimal health and function. Our therapists aggressively pursue advanced clinical education and training and offer a “one-on-one” approach to rehabilitation and wellness. OPTS provides services to clients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury disease or other causes. Orion offers outpatient rehabilitative services and is committed to the fitness and wellness of the community.

ANNOUNCEMENT: This hands on, interactive course is designed for physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and other sports medicine professionals. It focuses on an integrated approach to assessing and treating the lumbar spine, SiJ, and pelvis along the continuum from rehabilitation to elite performance. Various manual therapy techniques are presented in a practical system that encorporates exercise progression from the clinic, to the weight room, and on to the the court or field.

Course Description: A practical system is presented integrating Muscle Energy Techniques, Osteopathic Manual Therapy, Joint Mobilization/Manipulation.
Other manual techniques (McKenzie, Mulligan, and Maitland) are incorporated into the rehabilitation plan and application of the functional and corrective exercises prescription as an adjunct to manual therapy is presented.
These concepts are applied directly to exercise programming and the performance plan integrating principles of muscle performance, strengthening & conditioning, and the ability to generate and absorb force during elite sport.
