**REMINDER **…. These are Warming Centers … NOT shelters … *Food & sleeping accommodations are NOT provided. **

🥶 … Warming Centers are short term, temporary, emergency locations to get out of the dangerous cold to avoid injury or loss of life.

🆘 .. Shelters are longer term facilities that provide sleeping accommodations and food for people who are unable to stay in their homes especially due to lack of adequate heating.

❣️ If you are in need of long term assistance because you are displaced due to extended extreme cold conditions … PLEASE CALL 1-800-REDCROSS or go to www.redcross.org. There ARE Red Cross Volunteers in Crawford County ready to help. ❣️

One thing I knew I had to write about in the book was why we’re constantly numbing and distracting ourselves. So many of us feel shame about our scrolling or other ways we check out. But the truth is, we numb because feeling everything can feel unbearable, and that’s a very human response.
