trigger warning: infertility
This week is national infertility awareness week🤍
infertility isn’t just not being able to have a baby.
It’s wondering if you will ever get to see your husband as a father, and fearing that day will never come.
It’s counting the years, feeling time slip through your fingers, worrying about whether your future children will have enough time to know their grandparents to remember their voices, their love, and their warmth.
It’s mourning the life you thought you would have, grieving a version of yourself that doesn’t exist. The one who was supposed to be a mother, the one who imagined a home filled with laughter, tiny footsteps, and bedtime stories.
It’s wrestling with feelings of unfulfillment, when all you’ve ever wanted, your greatest dream, the thing you thought would define your life, is still just out of reach.
It’s fighting silent battles. carrying a heartbreak the world often overlooks. Living with a hope that feels fragile, but refusing to let it go.
Infertility is painful. It is lonely, but it is also filled with strength, because continuing to hope, to try, to find new paths, is resilience in its rawest form.
For those walking this road: you are seen. You are heard. You are not alone.
