Signs You’re a Luminous Mystic

Some people move through the world
with a quieter kind of knowing.

You’ve always sensed what’s beneath the surface.
You feel energy before words.
You notice patterns, emotions, and meaning
that others overlook.

You may have spent years wondering
why you felt different —
why depth mattered so much,
why surface-level living never quite fit.

There was never anything wrong with you.

You were listening more closely.
Feeling more fully.
Remembering something ancient.

This isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about honoring who you’ve always been.

If you’ve always known there was more, this is your invitation. ✨

Some people move through the world
feeling everything just a little more.

You may have known from a young age
that you were different.
More aware.
More affected by the world around you.

Maybe others didn’t quite know
how to meet your sensitivity.
Not because they didn’t care —
but because they didn’t understand it.

So you adapted.
You learned to tone it down.
To make yourself easier.
To carry quietly.

And somewhere along the way,
“too sensitive” became a story
you learned to believe.

But sensitivity isn’t a flaw.
It’s perception.
It’s attunement.
It’s a nervous system that notices truth, nuance, and feeling.

You were never too much.
You were tuned in.

And the work now
isn’t fixing yourself —
it’s remembering who you were
before you learned to hide it. If you’ve always known there was more, this is your invitation. ✨

For the ones who’ve always felt in-between worlds.

There was a time when being the strong one felt like my entire identity — the one who didn’t need anything, who held it all.

That wasn’t strength; it was conditioning.

Real strength is knowing where to soften, where to release, where to let yourself be held.

If this hits a tender place, your softness is trying to return. You don’t have to rush it.

Some spaces ask you to perform your healing.
Others ask you to bypass it.

But the sacred feminine doesn’t rush, perform, or push through.
She rises when she feels safe.

HELD is opening in January — a trauma-informed, somatic, breath-led healing circle for the woman who is strong for everyone and finally ready to soften for herself.

If you want details, comment HELD. ✨

Your nervous system speaks long before your mind catches up.

When you’re holding more than your system was built to carry, you might notice:
• Tight chest or shallow breath
• Feeling responsible for everyone’s emotions
• Exhaustion that rest doesn’t fix
• Irritability or emotional quickness
• Feeling unsafe slowing down
• Wanting to disappear or isolate

None of this means you’re broken. It means you’re overwhelmed — and overwhelm is a state, not a personality.

States can change. 💜

There’s a moment in every healer’s life
when the mind says, “I’m fine,”
but the body quietly says,
“I can’t keep living like this.”

That moment isn’t failure.
It isn’t weakness.
It isn’t you doing something wrong.

It’s wisdom.

Your body doesn’t break down without reason.
It speaks when the load has become too heavy.
When the pace has been too fast.
When the holding has gone on for too long.

This is the moment where a new way begins.

Not through pushing.
Not through fixing.
But through listening.

If your body has been whispering — or shouting —
this is your invitation to pause.

You’re not breaking.
You’re being redirected.

So many healers try to stop carrying
by armoring up.

Stronger boundaries.
More control.
More effort.

But carrying doesn’t come from a lack of discipline.
It comes from a nervous system that learned
holding everything was the way to stay safe.

When your system feels regulated,
you don’t need to harden.

You can care without absorbing.
Be present without over-functioning.
Hold space without losing yourself.

This isn’t about becoming less sensitive.
It’s about creating enough safety
that your sensitivity no longer costs you.

This is the future of healing.

You were never "too sensitive." You were trained by survival to carry what was never yours.

For years, your nervous system learned to absorb other people's emotions to keep the peace, keep connection, keep you safe.

Your burnout isn’t a flaw, it’s intelligence. It’s your body saying: "This version of holding everyone is complete."

Healing isn’t about becoming less sensitive. It’s about becoming less responsible for what isn’t yours.

Save this for when you forget your power. 💜

Lisa McNett, owner and founder

I live within the question—WHO AM I? I believe this is the single most important question we can ask ourselves. I believe our body is the greatest vehicle we have for understanding the answer. Listening to our intuitive guidance, exploring our capabilities and talents, engaging with our natural world, other people, and animals helps us to understand our self.

So who am I? Some words to describe my life and work are -- international breathwork facilitator, holistic health practitioner, yoga & meditation instructor (RYT500), ordained minister, craniosacral practitioner, reiki master/teacher, runner, wife, sister, aunt, and mom to fur babies. I am committed to self exploration, self awareness, and self healing. My friends and clients say my greatest gifts are my presence, love, and the non-judgmental acceptance they feel from me.

My clients are people of all shapes, ages, ethnicities and genders, with varied levels of health and ability. I work with clients with physical and psychological limitations. Populations I also enjoy working with, include prison inmates and US Veterans. Working with such a variety of people has offered me the opportunity to see and experience the invisible thread which binds us all to one another, as to the earth. We are all the same.

I offer my clients and students an invitation to simply be present within their experience, and to explore with an open heart and curiosity.
