Our Mission: Provide safe and effective programs to strengthen youth and families.

Residential Services
24 hour Emergency Youth Shelter for children ages 10-17 who are runaways, lockouts, homeless, truant or experiencing parent/child conflict. We also operate two Foster Care group homes for six boys and six girls which focus on the physical and emotional well-being of individual clients, and teach methods for sustaining basic life skills aimed at fostering self-sufficiency. Non-Residential Family Crisis Intervention Counseling
Our Master’s Level Counselors provide immediate crisis intervention and counseling which helps families resolve crisis situations and stay together. Other Services

Cold Weather Shelter open tonight at The Salvation Army!
Location: 320 NW 1st Ave, Ocala, FL 34478
The Salvation Army – Center of Hope check-in time is at 6:00PM. (They serve a hot dinner at 5:00pm)

🥶Temperatures will be dropping significantly in the next 24 hours. 🥶

The Salvation Army will have sheltering accommodations in place for the upcoming cold weather for those that need to seek refuge. Due to lower temperatures the Salvation Army is prepared for a possible influx of individuals seeking shelter. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office - Emergency Management Division will be working with the Salvation Army and our other community partners to ensure the safety and well-being of those that require the need for cold weather sheltering.

Our group home, shelter, and admin staff all came together this week for Managing Aggressive Behaviors Training!

Managing Aggressive Behaviors is a trauma-informed course that focuses on prevention through building relationships, supporting individual empowerment, and developing new skills. The course curriculum teaches staff about trauma, trauma responses in youth, how to avoid the misuse of power, and what to do when a situation becomes violent.

Thank you to Mrs. Ronni, Mrs. Pam, and Mr. Mark for teaching our staff and for sharing their expertise!

Calling all youth ages 11-17 come out November 22, 2025 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm @ the Mary Sue Rich Community Center to see if you have what it is to escape the tobacco trap. There will be lots of interactive activities you don't want to miss.

One of our outdoor storage sheds got a major upgrade this weekend, thanks to Boy Scout Troop #172!

Donovan McNeish, a student at Vanguard High School, led the shed upgrade as part of his Eagle Scout project, with the help of members of his troop, including Chris, Gabe, Ben, Elijah, Dean, and Francisco, under the supervision of Doug, Bob, and Brian!

Thanks to Donovan and his troop, we have a bigger storage capacity on our main campus. 💚

Last week, Joyce and Tina from the Corvette Club of Marion County, Florida , stopped by to drop off a donation of baking mixes for clients in the shelter and group homes!!!

We love getting fun donations like this because the kids not only learn how to bake, but they also are rewarded with a sweet treat! 🎂

Check out these ✨gorgeous✨ ladies rocking their SNAP Youth Justice shirts!

SNAP Youth Justice is a new program at Arnette House that is an evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral intervention designed for youth between the ages of 12 and 19 who have serious, disruptive behavioral problems and are involved in the criminal justice system, often referred to while on probation or in custody. The goal is to interrupt the cycle of offending by addressing complex risk factors and developing essential life skills for a successful transition out of the justice system and into adulthood.

Unlike the regular SNAP program, SNAP Youth Justice focuses on shifting from early intervention to reducing the risk of reoffending, preventing gang involvement, and developing the necessary life skills for a successful transition into adulthood and out of the justice system.
