“A Thanksgiving With Jesus at the Center”
Thanksgiving changes as the years go by.
The table looks different,
the seats shift,
the kids grow,
and some faces we love aren’t here anymore.
But one thing — one Person — stays the same.
Jesus.
He’s the steady hand that holds our heart
when the seasons feel heavier than we expected.
He’s the peace that settles in the kitchen
as the pies cool and the house quiets.
He’s the gentle reminder that gratitude
isn’t just for what’s on the table…
but for Who holds the table together.
We thank Him for blessings we can see —
family, laughter, warm food,
tiny hands tugging at our sleeves.
But we also thank Him
for the hidden mercies:
the prayers He answered silently,
the nights He carried us through,
the strength we didn’t know we had.
Because Thanksgiving isn’t just a holiday —
it’s a posture.
A heart turned toward Jesus,
whispering “thank You”
not just for what He’s given,
but for who He is.
So this year,
may we look around our homes
and realize the greatest gift
isn’t the meal or the moment…
it’s the Savior who sits with us through it all.
The One who never leaves.
The One who never changes.
The One who deserves every bit of our gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving.
May Jesus be the center of your table
and the warmth in every room of your heart. 🕊️
