Golfer's Elbow (inner side of the forearm) and Tennis Elbow (outter side of the forearm) are painful conditions that occur when tendons in your elbow are overloaded, usually by repetitive motions of the wrist and forearm.

Despite their names, athletes aren't the only people who develop these conditions. People whose jobs feature the types of motions that can lead to these conditions include plumbers, painters, carpenters, butchers, receptionist, nurses and even drivers.

Dry needling is a technique physical therapists use (where allowed by state law) for the treatment of pain and movement impairments.   

The technique uses a "dry" needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle.

Dry needling is NOT acupuncture, a practice based on traditional Chinese medicine and performed by acupuncturists.
